United Farms Rules and Regulations

Introduction
The following rules and regulations are designed for the United Farms servers. These are intended to create a fair and fun game play environment along with some minor challenges to add to the overall game play.

Members that are unable to abide by the rules and regulations may be subject to removal from the United Farms servers. We want our servers to be fair and fun. Players that cheat or try to find workarounds for any of the rules and regulations are subject to ban from United Farms Discord and its server set including United Farms servers.

All members are expected to have read and understand the United Farms Discord Rules. These rules apply United Farms including in game. We are here to have fun.
Have Fun
Our servers are meant to be fun and not a chore.
Application Only
All United Farms servers are application only. All players must go through an application process and be accepted to join any United Farms server. To apply login to the website and a link will appear at the top of the page to Start your Application. Applicants are expected to have read and understand the United FarmsRules and Regulations prior to applying for access to the United Farms servers. The application process will contain questions based on these rules and regulations that if not answered correctly will cause your application to be rejected. Applicants that are not accepted will be required to wait for one week before eligible to apply again. This requirement is in place to ensure only serious players are joining United Farms.
United Farms Discord Membership Required
In an effort to ensure that all of our players are safe and friendly we require all players to be an active member of the United Farms Discord server with the Farm Manager or Farm Hand roles. Users that are not members of the discord or do not have either of the roles will be banned from all United Farms servers. Players that join any of the game servers will be kicked and banned if they are not active members with either of the roles. Players that are banned from the servers will have their farms and assets deleted.
Farm Managers
Farm Managers can have multiple farms across all United Farms servers. New farm managers will be given a list of servers to choose from. They will be able to pick that server and join it as a farm manager and start buying land. Farm Managers are expected to work with existing farm managers as they choose land to buy to ensure they are buying land in a friendly manner. Farm Managers are allowed to have farm hands, or other farm managers assist them. Payment for help is not required, but is encouraged. Money can be sent to other players via the website banking system or job system.

New farm managers will start out with the following: Requirements to Upgrade to Farm Manager: Player time is tracked and auto calculated by our handy bot system then updates as players leave the servers.
Farm Hands
Farm Hands are not limited to a set farm or server, but are required to have permission from Farm Managers before conducting any activities on farms. Farm hands are welcome to require payment agreement before conducting work, but if an agreement is not set beforehand Farm Managers are not required to pay for completed work. Farm Hands are not able to purchase or lease equipment in game as equipment requires a farm to exist for the user on the server first.
Farm and Land Ownership
Farm Managers have the ability to own land on more than one server. The first farm is free to create. Second farm and on are calculated by number of owned farms multiped by $500k. Second farm is $500k, third is $1m, fourth is $1.5m, and so on. Farm removals cost $50k and require everything on the farm to be sold including land.

Farms have land limits per server. Each farm is limited based on server and map settings. Land is purchased on the website, and land limits are listed per server on the land purchase page. All servers have land that has been recalculated to be a fair value. Each server is subject to it's own farm and land limits.
Hired Work
We encourage Farm Managers to hire Farm Hands to complete work on their farms. Farm Hands can join the Farmers Co-Op, and the Farm Manager can give the Co-Op contractor access. Farm Managers are also welcome to give the Farm Hand their farm password at their discretion. Workers that cut trees will requiring joining the farm and the farm manager giving them cut tree permissions.

Agreements for payment for work must be documented in our discord via our forums within the United FarmsFarming text chats to be enforced. We will not enforce verbal agreements.

If a Farm Manager agrees to pay a Farm Hand for work, and the work has been completed, they are to complete that payment as agreed. If payment is unable to be made, the Farm Manager is required to liquidate assets until able to complete payment. If payment is not completed, please contact staff so they can investigate and take corrective actions. If staff finds that the Farm Manager has not completed payment as agreed, and that Farm Manager does not have the money to complete the transaction, staff will enter their farm and liquidate land and assets until able to complete the payment. $100k fee will apply if staff becomes involved with liquidation to complete payments.

Farm Managers are not required to offer pay for jobs, however it is encouraged to pay farm hands and helpers fairly. We do require that Farm Managers do not overpay farm hands or helpers and ask that payment be no more than $40k per real life hour of work.

Farm Hands are not able to purchase or lease equipment and must work with the farm owner to utilize their equipment.
FS DLCs
Some of the United Farms servers require DLCs to play. Not all of the servers run the same DLCs. Be sure to check the server for required DLCs.
Mods
All United Farms servers run the same mod sets. Outside of DLCs and Maps, you can swap between servers without having to change your mod pack. If you would like to suggest a mod, please use the mod suggestions chat for the servers in our discord server. Unrealistic mods will not be accepted into the servers. Please only suggest mods that are realistically priced with realistic capacities and settings. If a mod passes suggestions it will be put in a mod voting channel for all members to vote on. Mods must have at least 75% of the members vote yes to be considered for further testing. Mods that pass will be placed on a test server to ensure no issues arise. Once passed they will be added to a mod update pack then put live on the servers. Mod updates are done once a month during winter in the game. Emergency updates may occur if there is a mod that is causing game breaking issues.
Sleeping In-Game
Sleeping in-game is not allowed. The Real Time Sync mod disables the ability for players to sleep.
Servers Date and Times
United Farms servers are synced to one month per day in real life, and the time of day is offset to UTC -11 (US) or -5 (EU). All United Farms servers are synced to the same times in-game. Months between servers may vary.
Seasons
United Farms servers are all running with seasons disabled. This gives farmers more freedom on their farms to more easily complete tasks that would normally be limited by the seasons system.
Vehicle and Equipment
Vehicle Shop area must be kept free of vehicles and equipment at all times so that players are able to buy their vehicles as needed. Once you buy your vehicle and equipment you must move them to your farm or owned property. Vehicles left at the shop may be sent to your website garage without warning. Vehicles left on other players property or on public property may be sent to your website garage without warning.

Vehicles and Equipment that is not in use must be stored in storage sheds, garages, barns, etc. The more walls the better. Large amounts of vehicles out in the open can create unnecessary lag.
Bales, Big Bags, and Pallets
Bales, Big Bags, and pallets to be stored in appropriate storage structures prior to exiting the server. This is required to aid in server stability. Setting productions to “storing” or “distributing” will also aid with server stability. Players must utilize object storage buildings to store loose bales, big bags, and pallets. Our servers have the in game object storage and a handful of storage buildings on them to give plenty of options for bale, big bag, and pallet storage.

Vehicle Shop area must be kept free of pallets and bales at all times.

There is an automated system that will run once a day on day change in game that will scan for all bales, big bags, and pallets to log them. Bales, Big Bags, and Pallets that have been removed from your farm are not recoverable and United Farms staff is not responsible for replacing or reimbursing for them.
Trees and Stumps
Farms that have Logging operations must keep trees and tree stumps clean and tidy. There should be no more than 20 trees cut down, on the ground, or on the move at any given time per farm. There should also be no more than 20 stumps at any given time per farm. All stumps should be grinded out as you go to help reduce lag. Any tree scraps are to be cleaned up with a chipper, or taken to be sold at a wood sell point. Each tree object cut is an added object that the server has to communicate coordinates to all players. Please do your best to abide by this rule to aid in server stability.

There is an automated system that will run once a day on day change (midnight) in game that will scan for all trees and stumps. It is best to ensure that there are no loose trees anywhere on the map at day change or they may be removed. Trees and Stumps that have been removed from your farm are not recoverable and United Farms staff is not responsible for replacing or reimbursing for them.
Tree Planting
Players are not allowed to plant trees in fields or in any area that was originally designated as a field. Any trees planted in these areas, including those placed after painting over a field, may be removed without warning. This rule is in place to maintain the integrity of farmland and ensure fair gameplay.
Field Flipping
Field flipping is prohibited. Farm Managers must keep purchased fields or farmlands for a minimum of one in-game year. This includes any buyable land that is purchased by the player.
Road Laws
Players must drive only on roads. Crop destruction can affect any farmlands that you have contractor access on. Be a good neighbor and do not drive through fields that you do not own.
United Farms Co-Op Equipment
United Farms Co-Op equipment can only be used for the following tasks: United Farms Co-Op equipment must be returned to the original locations and can not be used on player farms. Park out of the way at the vehicle shop and turn off when not in use.
Hired AI Workers
Farms are only allowed to hire no more than two AI hired workers at any given time.

All hired AI workers must be dismissed prior to exiting the server. AI workers can be taxing to a server. Please be sure to dismiss all workers on your farm before leaving the server. United Farms Companion only allows 2 AI per farm at any given time.

There is an automated system that checks for farms that have AI hired with no players active on the farm to dismiss all workers. Hired AI is much like having another player active on the server, and the more that are active, the more impact on server performance there will be.
Player Inactivity
Farms are checked daily for activity. When a farm has been inactive for seven days, the owner will receive a notification directing them to the website to submit a return date and reason for their absence. The game server team will review the request and either approve or deny the return date. Approved requests give the farm one week of protection after the approved return date. If denied, staff will provide the date the owner must return by. After returning, players are required to log at least one hour of active play time before they are removed from the inactivity list. Idle playtime does not count towards this requirement. Failure to respond or to become active within one week of the specified return date will place the farm in the removal queue and notify the game server team.

Farm Managers that are inactive from servers for greater than fourteen real life days may be subject to foreclosure of all assets and/or deletion of their farm. The player may or may not receive notification prior to foreclosure. If a player is unable to join the server, or unresponsive, everything owned by that farm will be sold. The liquidated farm will be responsible for covering the cost of the farm removal. Any pending loans or debts will be paid off in full with the money received to farm from the liquidation. This rule applies to each farm a Farm Manager owns individually. To remain active, Farm Managers must spend at least one hour per week playing on every farm they own. Farms previously marked as inactive will be rechecked for activity when their owner leaves the server in question
Productions
Productions that are not on land owned by the player must not be purchased by any farm manager. This is to ensure that these sites remain open as sell points for all Farmers to sell their goods at. Players that purchase these public production points will have ownership removed, and will not recoup the cost of purchase or any of the product stored within. Farm Managers are allowed to build or place their own productions on farmland that they own. Servers that have land that is buyable with existing productions should not be purchased and staff should be notified so that the land can be disabled from purchase.
Game Settings
United Farms servers have the following settings enabled:
Loans
United Farms servers utilize it's own loan system through the website under United Farms Bank. Loans are based on the players net worth. All players are given a starter loan in the amount of $2m that has no interest, and can pay it back at any time via bank transfers. All loans outside of the starter loan have mandatory payments that are automatically withdrawn from the loan owner's checking account on the website. Payment amount is setup at the time of loan acceptance. If the checking account does not have sufficient funds there will be a $100 fee applied to the checking account for insufficient funds fee.
In-Game Contracts
In Game Contracts are currently disabled due to numerous issues with them not working properly. We encourage players to utilize their down time to complete work for other farmers or the CO-OP servers to generate extra income.
CO-OP Servers
We have multiple United Farms CO-OP servers that are designed for players to join and complete any productive work that is available.

Players that complete productive work on the servers will be paid for their active play time on the website once they log off the server. Once logged off players can collect payment for their work via the CO-OP Payouts on the website. Allow enough time for the bot to register that you’ve left the server before rejoining after a leave or crash. If the bot does not record your departure, your playtime will not be counted and you will not be paid for that session. Rejoining too quickly prevents the bot from updating correctly, which will result in inaccurate playtime when you finally leave.

Any harvested or produced product can be taken to the United Farms CO-OP on the map for the system to add to the United Farms CO-OP Market for Farmers to be able to purchase as needed. Farmers are welcome to join the CO-OP servers and preform work with the goal to add wanted product to the United Farms Market. Players that abuse the United Farms CO-OP system by any of the follow means may be subject to fines or removal from the United Farms servers depending on severity. Players that are found taking advantage of the United Farms CO-OP servers may be fined for up to double the amount they were paid out by the United Farms CO-OP. Players that are found taking advantage of the United Farms CO-OP servers multiple times may be banned from All United Farms servers.

AI workers are not allowed on the CO-OP servers.
Animals
Farm managers are limited to two of each husbandry or animal type per farm. Farm managers can place two pig barns, two cow barns, etc.
Verbal Agreements
We strongly discourage verbal agreements in relation to in-game activities that include transactions of any kind. United Farms staff will not enforce verbal agreements.
Written Agreements
We suggest that if you are going to create an agreement with another player to document the agreement within our United Farms forum on discord. Do not use DMs. Create a new forum thread for the agreement in the United Farms forum.
Money Transfers
In our banking system, players can transfer money to other players using the 'Send Money' page. Each player is restricted to sending a maximum of $200k per transaction through both the bank system and in-game money transfer system. For payments related to in-game services or activities, such as work performed, we encourage the use of the jobs system available on the website. Any member found sending or receiving large sums exceeding $200k outside of the designated job payment processes may face consequences, including the removal of the excess funds or potential removal from the servers.
Super Strength
Super Strength is not enabled or allowed on any of the United Farms servers. Usage of Super Strength may result in a fine.
Placeable Limits
The United Farms Companion has these limits built in. It will disallow purchase or placement of placeables that are outside of their allowed limits.

The following limits are per farm and are automatically blocked from purchase once limit is reached: These limits are to help assist with server performance, help with game play acceleration limits, and adhere to United Farms Rules.

Placeable Store Item: A store item is an individual placeable that is available for selection in the buy menu. Each individual photo that is listed in the placeables buy menu is considered a store item. For items that are limited by store item, you may click any given image and place the amount allowed for that category.

Examples:
Landscaping and Terrain Editing
There is no undo or compensation for mistakes made while landscaping or editing terrain on on the servers. Before making changes on your farm be sure to practice with this feature in single player before attempting to use on the United Farms servers. This includes placing placeables such as buildings, productions, barns, houses, etc. It is best to level the ground area you are wanting to place on first.
Leaderboards
The United Farms leaderboard only includes players who have been active within the past 30 days. Players who have not logged in for over 30 days are considered inactive and will be removed from the leaderboard until they return. To ensure a fair and competitive environment, players suspected of using cheats, exploits, or any unfair advantages may be reviewed and are subject to removal from the leaderboard. The United Farms team reserves the right to investigate suspicious activity and take necessary action to maintain the integrity of the rankings.
CO-OP
The purchase from the CO-OP and direct sale back to the CO-OP or direct in game is prohibited.

To maintain a fair and realistic economy, purchasing products from the CO-OP and then reselling them, either back to the CO-OP or directly in-game, is strictly prohibited. This includes buying low and selling high for quick profit, which is considered an exploit and a form of cheating. Doing so will result in a fine. Products purchased from the website CO-OP are intended for general farm use or production chains, not for resale. Following this rule ensures that market prices remain dynamic, rewarding players who engage in genuine farming, production, and trade.
Cheating and Exploiting
Players that are caught Cheating or Exploiting any non realistic loopholes within the game for greater financial gain may be subject to removal from the leaderboards or banned from the United Farms servers. In an effort to maintain a fair and fun realistic game play experience for all of our players, we ask that if any loopholes or possible exploits are found to report them to United Farms Staff immediately. This includes but is not limited to over powered vehicles, over powered productions, product purchase to direct sale, stone from query to direct sale, iron ore to direct sale, and item ransom to other players. It is at the discretion of the United Farms Staff for level of punishment based on the severity of the players actions.
Court

The United Farms Court System exists to help maintain a fair, realistic, and enjoyable multiplayer farming experience for everyone. This system allows staff to issue fines when players break server rules, damage equipment, or disrupt gameplay. It also provides players with the opportunity to view, pay, or dispute those fines through a transparent and accountable process.

The goal is not to punish, but to promote respectful play, cooperation, and immersion — keeping the servers fun and realistic for the whole community.

These fines are intended to address in-game behavior and help maintain a fun and immersive experience for all players by introducing realistic consequences. Players who violate Discord or game server rules may face additional disciplinary actions beyond fines, up to and including bans from both the Discord and game servers. If the pending fine is not paid within 5 days of creation, the fine will begin accruing a daily interest equal to 10% of the current fine amount, and this change is added once per day until paid in full.

Payment Notice:
All fines must be paid through the United Farms Court System in a timely manner. Failure to do so may result in interest fees, additional penalties, or further administrative action. If you believe a fine was issued in error, you may submit a dispute for review.

Report a Violation – Earn a Reward:
Players who submit valid reports of rule violations may be eligible for a small in-game reward if the reported player is found to be at fault. To qualify:

Reports must be made in good faith. Abuse of the reporting system may result in penalties.
